Our story

If you are curious about our name, Juno is my first chocolate lab, who I named the rescue after and this page is entirely about the dogs and their welfare.

My story only matters because in 2021 I made a promise to find homes in the PNW for abandoned dogs in Mexico and I am always behind the scenes trying harder and harder to make the dream of finding the love of a family come true for more dogs. Especially for those who have never been noticed, who haven’t experienced kindness, who don’t trust people because all they have encountered is ugliness and abuse.

I have found many kindhearted people along the way, who have helped me keep this promise. And, together that dream  has become a reality for an increasing number of dogs, not only from Mexico but also from the Pacific Northwest were abuse and neglect are more present than ever.

However, all this doesn’t even make a dent in the lives of thousands and thousands of dogs who are abandoned, abused, and dying every single day.

At times the task seems like trying to empty the ocean with a teaspoon. Where does one start knowing it will never end? But there is hope, there is love, there is compassion, and there is community.

I know we can do more together and I invite you to do whatever you can to help dogs anywhere you choose to.
